Sales quota calculator
Turn the company’s revenue target into a quota per rep per month. Account for over-assignment and for new reps who start during the year with a ramp period.
How the calculator works
From target to quota
Quotas usually add up to more than the revenue target, because not every rep reaches 100%. With a target of DKK 12 million and 15% over-assignment, quotas must add up to DKK 13.8 million.
Capacity is counted in rep months. Six fully ramped reps give 72. Two new reps starting in April with a three-month ramp (25%, 50% and 75%) give 7.5 each. 87 rep months in total.
The monthly quota for a fully ramped rep is 13.8 million / 87 = DKK 158,621, or DKK 1,903,448 a year. The new rep gets an annual quota of DKK 1,189,655.

Frequently asked questions
What is over-assignment?
When the quotas add up to more than the company target. It gives a buffer, because some reps miss their quota. 10-20% is common.
How do you set quota for new reps?
With a ramp period where the quota steps up. The calculator uses a linear ramp, e.g. 25%, 50% and 75% over three months, then full quota.
Should quota be the same every month?
Not necessarily. If you have seasons, quota can follow them. The calculator gives an average you can spread with your own numbers.
How do quota and commission connect?
Quota is the target, commission is the reward. Many plans use attainment for tiers and accelerators, so a realistic quota matters.
Stop calculating commission in spreadsheets
Prowi pulls sales from your CRM and calculates commission automatically for every rep and every deal, using the rules you have agreed. Reps can follow along themselves.
