Split commission calculator
Split the commission on a deal between up to three reps, and see what overlay roles like a specialist or the sales manager cost, on top or taken from the pool.
How the calculator works
How split commission works
With split commission, the pool on a deal is shared by fixed percentages. A DKK 300,000 deal at 10% gives a pool of DKK 30,000. With 60/40, rep A gets DKK 18,000 and rep B DKK 12,000.
Overlay roles earn commission on the deal without being the primary rep, e.g. a solution consultant at 2% and the sales manager at 1%. Paid on top, the deal costs DKK 39,000 in total. Taken from the pool, DKK 21,000 is left for the split.
What matters most is that the rules are in the commission agreement before the deal closes: who can get a share, how the share is decided, and whether overlay is paid on top.

Frequently asked questions
What is split commission?
When several people share the commission on one deal by fixed percentages, e.g. an account executive and a colleague who sourced the lead.
What is an overlay role?
Someone who earns commission on the deal without being the primary rep, e.g. a specialist, a solution consultant or a manager.
Should the shares add up to 100%?
Yes, normally. If they add up to more, the company pays more than the pool. The calculator warns you if the shares do not add up to 100%.
How do we avoid disputes about splits?
Write the rules into the agreement, and take the roles from the CRM so everyone can see who is on the deal.
Stop calculating commission in spreadsheets
Prowi pulls sales from your CRM and calculates commission automatically for every rep and every deal, using the rules you have agreed. Reps can follow along themselves.
